Sassano

Sassano Fountain

Sassano is a comune in the province of Salerno in the region of Campania. It has a population of just over 5,000 people and is roughly 150km from Naples.

Although it is likely much older, the first official documnet to mention Sassano is about 1,000 years old. Roman tombstones have been found locally which point to an older settlement.
