How do I edit a page?

If you'd like to make a change to a page, correct an error, add some new information or update some old information, it's very easy.

  1. If you don't already have an account, click on REGISTER in the top right to set up a new account. It's free. Or, if you already have an account, just log in.
  2. Go to the page you want to edit and near the top on the right you'll see a tab called EDIT. Simply click on this and you'll see the source of the page.
  3. Go ahead and make your changes and when you've finished, simply click on the SAVE PAGE button under the editor and it's done.

Oh, and we monitor changes fairly closely so don't worry about accidentally putting in the wrong code or anything like that - we'll always tidy up what's going on.

Templates

Any page which is a disambiguation page should have the following template at the top of the page:

Disambig.png This is a disambiguation page, which lists pages which may be the intended target.
{{Template:Disambig}}
Any page which contains legal information should have the following template at the bottom (above the Category list):
This page contains legal information which is provided 'as is' and does not constitute legal advice. For full details, see our Legal Disclaimer.
{{Template:Legal}}

YouTube Videos

This is how to include a YouTube video in an article.

Get the YouTube Code

The first step is to get the code for the video. For this you need to visit YouTube and find the video you want to use. It will have an address like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CODE

The code is the code after the v= which will be a series of random numbers and letters. In some cases the address will be longer like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CODE&feature=rec-LGOUT-exp_fresh+div-1r-2-HM

Here you must copy the code until it reaches an ampersand &.

Insert the Video

To put the video on an article page, you can use the following template. Just copy and paste it:

== Video ==

This video shows...

{{Template:YouTube|CODE}}

Of course the next step is to replace the CODE above with the code you copied from the YouTube video.

== Multimedia == <table width=100%> <tr> <td valign="top" align="center"> <googlemap version="0.9" lat="40.869911" lon="14.512939" type="map" zoom="9"> 40.914749, 14.792723, 83100 Avellino 83100 Avellino Avellino, Campania </googlemap> </td> <td valign="top" align="center"> The video shows a photographic slideshow of Avellino, past and present. {{#ev:youtube|04r51EuW0Lg}} </td> </tr> </table>
