Iovine at his arrest, November 2010
Antonio Iovine (20th September 1964, San Cipriano d'Aversa) is a boss in the Camorra crime organisation. He has the nickname O’ninno - the baby - following his being made capo at a very young age.

Iovine was one of the bosses of the Casalesi family in the province of Caserta. In the Camorra he controlled the waste disposal business in the Camorra, a business worth about 60 million euro each year.

With Michele Zagari he was considered to be de facto boss of the Casalesi family and was described by the Ministry of the Interior as one of the country's most dangerous criminals. He is regarded also as the mastermind behind the expansion of the Camorra out of Campania.

In June 2008, following a ten year trial known as the Spartacus Trial, he was sentenced (in absentia) to life imprisonment for murder and other crimes. He remained on the run until November 2010 when he was arrested by police in Casal di Principe following surveillance of relatives and friends.

Personal Life

Iovine is engaged to be married to the daughter of Francesco Schiavone, the head of the Casalesi family.
